Under the wing of the company of Wim Vandekeybus, in 2015 Seppe Baeyens developed his first major dance performance Tornar. In his new piece INVITED Baeyens formulates an artistic answer to the question of how an audience can be involved in developing the choreography of a performance. With dance as a common language he seeks an alternative way of living through creating a community between cast and audience. Just as in his highly acclaimed Tornar, once again he brings together a diverse and intergenerational group of performers that reflect society. The audience also play an important role. The scenography minimizes the distance between the performers and the audience by making them a part of one clear (democratic) form.
