In this energetic and intimate choreography, eight young people between the ages of 14 and 21 depict a young girl’s observations about the game of love. Inspired by Goethe’s Die Wahlverwandtschaften, a couple’s relationship is put under pressure when they take in a childhood friend and a young girl. What begins as an exciting experiment quickly develops into an explosive mixture of expectation and jealousy. Goethe compared love’s collisions with those of atoms. One relationship must yield to another: as if human relationships are nothing more than volatile chemical reactions. The highly physical movement language is set in a Goethe-like universe.
