In 1960, at the age of 23, Trisha Brown became one of the artistic leaders of the Judson Street Dance Theater in New York, a revolutionary movement that radically changed the modern dance scene. Since then, she has always been influential in contemporary choreography by blurring borders and creating a dance vocabulary that is reinvented with every new piece. Her work inspired an entire generation of dancers and choreographers, including Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
