From Food Waste Challenge to Juice for Change

From Food Waste Challenge to Juice for Change

Entrepreneurs from Food Waste Challenge
Last August we gathered 21 participants for the Food Waste Challenge: 48 hours of fun and hard work, co-organised by the Food Surplus Entrepreneurs Network and Act4Change
The goal was to guide people in starting their own social business to reduce food waste. Participants experienced food waste with learning journeys, got inspired by entrepreneurs, coached by experts, and got the chance to pitch in front of a jury. In the end of the weekend, 5 great ideas came up from the challenge.

Juice for Change
A few weeks ago, we learned that 25 million kilos of apples and pears were to be destroyed. The Juice for Change campaign was immediately set up as a concrete solution to reduce this waste: several organisations came together to rescue 8000 kilos of apples and made apple juice from it. It was a big success as 1000 boxes of apple juice were sold in a week. We are now determined to go on and we would like to do it with you!

On December 8th, get a chance to discover these awesome projects and get involved on the spot!
