Meryem Bayram’s work focuses on the relationship between human behaviour and the constructed environment. Using wood, cardboard, and elastic, she creates installations that suggest a physical space while simultaneously challenging the body to change that space. She organises encounters between body and material, charged with the tension between the visible and invisible, the compiled and improvised. Fourfold is a living encounter between bodies and fabrics. The continued involvement of its creators, Meryem Bayram and Guy Rombouts, ensures a gradual transformation of what is being made.
