Intergenerational workshop INVITED

Seppe Baeyens / Ultima Vez

This workshop is held on the occasion of INVITED, and invites you to learn to write the choreography for a performance. You and a diverse group of children, youths and adults join forces with the cast and musicians of INVITED to create a shared choreography.

How can you keep a choreography readable? In this workshop you start with a series of basic ideas, movements, codes and social interactions. But themes like community, encounters and unison will also be tackled. Together with an intergenerational group of participants and choreographer Seppe Baeyens you investigate what being 'together' can mean, using the language of dance. You get to know more about sharing space, making connections and relating to and with the other.

For who?

The workshop is meant for a diverse, intergenerational group of participants. We are looking for people of different ages and backgrounds. The workshop can be very interesting for duos of different generations: parent and child, grandparent and grandchild, or maybe even two neighbours? Specific dance experience is not required.
