Love Shrine & Your Majesty/Love Shrine & Lese Majesty - Part 1- Dress Me In Words (Working title)

Marcus Baldemar

Love is a verb. Love is the choosing of trust, care, affection, respect, recognition, commitment, open and honest communication.

A shrine is a “chest, coffer: case for relics”, a “case or box for keeping papers” or “a tomb of a saint”. A holy space. A space where we keep what is meaningful to us.

Your majesty is what we call our royalty.

Lese majesty is an “offense against sovereign authority, treason”.

Joined by Linnéa Martinsson and Viktoria Andersson, the objects of our love-doing are ourselves and the extension of ourselves; our dancing. I want to express my great appreciation for pop-culture but at the same time question our time’s dealing with and expression of: Love. We will do this together with dance, voice and writing.

Marcus Baldemar graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in 2008 and has since been working in numerous projects around Europe. He has danced for and collaborated with Daniel Linehan, Andros Zins-Browne, Stina Nyberg & The Knife, Ludvig Daae, Albert Quesada and more.

Marcus interests in performing as well as making is the human body in relation to language in relation to the personal and the political.
