New Measuring Rites

Manon Santkin

Manon Santkin works on her new project New Measuring Rites. More info will follow soon.

Manon Santkin (BE, 1982) works in the field of the performing arts as a dancer, choreographer, artistic advisor, process assistant and writer.

She graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels and finished a Master in New Performative Practices at Doch in Stockholm.
She has been collaborating with choreographers Mette Ingvartsen, Salva Sanchis, Xavier Leroy, Sidney Leoni, Eleanor Bauer, Cecilia Lisa Eliceche, Daniel Linehan and Leslie Mannès.

Manon develops projects in varying formats and medias on and off the stage: performance, installation, written/audio publication, workshops. She initiated The Library of Schrödinger, a hybrid project mixing performance and publishing; By-product, with Jennifer Defays and Leslie Mannès on the performativity of the garment; Performance Kit, a research with Leslie Mannès on instant interpretations of choreographic instructions. Occasionally, she publishes texts, maps and audio documents derived from the creation processes she takes part in.
In her current works Manon revisits the notion of ‘interpretation’ in terms of an ecology of practices and intelligences, self-organization and interactive agencies.
