In 2016 Norwegian Mette Edvardsen received the prestigious Ibsen prize for We to be, the final instalment of a trilogy in which she explores how she can play with the audience’s imagination using language. With OSLO, the Norwegian capital and an anagram of ‘solo’, she continues further down this route. An intelligent and playful choreography is formed, which is not only visual but whereby an array of senses are involved: hearing and feeling, thinking, remembering, and imagining. Simple, sober elements such as thoughts, words, objects, and actions proliferate through the space evoking a rich, colourful and imaginative world. A highly personal and collective experience in one.
