RULE OF THREE
RULE OF THREE
RULE OF THREE is a mix between a concert and a collection of short stories. The atmosphere of a nightclub is interwoven with a sense of getting lost between the pages of a book. Stillness and outbursts alternate, precision goes alongside meditation, reason alongside emotion. The rhythms, light and movement simultaneously swell, or at other times are dismantled. The show is full of contradictions, just as our times. For the first time Jan Martens is working with live music. The music of the American producer and drummer NAH bears traces of punk, noise and avant-garde jazz topped with restless hip-hop. In recent years, the Belgian Jan Martens has built up a solid body of work, with which he’s regularly awarded prizes as well as becoming a favourite among audiences.
