Jazz op zondag: Mòs Ensemble
An Italian-Belgian mix of avant-pop, improvisation, jazz and eclectic folk.
mòs ensemble is a Belgian-Italian collective exploring the boundaries between avant-pop, improvisation, jazz and eclectic folk. Guided by a shared artistic vision, they create a rich, organic sound in which voices and instruments intertwine in layered arrangements. Sometimes it’s playful or chaotic, but always adventurous and warm.
For this intimate concert, the ensemble performs in a smaller line-up, presenting new music from their fourth album which will be released in February. The album celebrates life in all its unpredictability, embracing the beauty of the ordinary with tenderness and curiosity.
The voices and lyrics of Roos Denayer (Rosa Butsi), Astrid Creve (Arra Di Allas) and Kobe Boon (Steiger, Volpe) form the beating heart of the music, while Benjamin Hermans (Elemy) keeps the compositions in constant motion with his distinctive playing. Combining voices, reeds, guitar, mandolin, synths, bass and percussion, mòs ensemble creates a singular musical universe where imagination, emotion and collective creation take centre stage.
Sunday = JOZday!
Sunday means JAZZ ON SUNDAY DAY, and we're happy to continue this idea in the new STUK season of 2026–2027. Last year was full of exciting jazz talent, and we're bringing that same energy into autumn 2026. The concept stays the same: free jazz every Sunday in the most beautiful café in Leuven. Every month, the programme alternates between live concerts, a special LUCA Jazz night with an open jam session, and DJ sets with groovy jazz records. We'll keep adding new names throughout the season, so make sure to check the STUK website for the latest updates!
