From Marseille with noise: trio Donna Candy lay out a heavy sound, trawled from the bizarre and sonic sub-genres of experimental rock. Heavy bass riffs, switch-pitched fuzz vocals and frenetic drums melt as unsettling narratives and extreme loops emerge.The band’s live act takes the audience to multi-layered, emotional yet physically densified sonic states. Donna Candy’s first album Blooming was released this year by the famous Belgian underground label Kraak (together with Swallowing Helmets, Bison and Isola).
