Head waiter (m/v/x)

STUKcafé, one of the cosiest cafés in Leuven, is not only a daily café but also a foyer for STUK’s performances, where audience and artists meet. STUKcafé has its own programming with many activities like parties, free concerts, one-day festivals and much more.

STUKcafé is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic head waiter (m/f/x). Part-time or full-time for fixed term for student, non-student or flexi.

Function

• You are responsible for supervising and managing the bar staff. You give operational instructions to other bar staff.
• You are co-responsible for the training of new bar staff.
• You report to the bar coordinator.
• You organize your workplace in an orderly and hygienic way and communicate this to other tappers.
• You prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, soup and snacks: mise en place, serving and clearing up.
• You are responsible for the smooth running of the day or evening in STUKcafé.

Profile

• You have sufficient experience in the catering industry.
• You enjoy working in a team and have leadership skills.
• You are flexible: evening and weekend work do not scare you off.
• You are responsible and can work quickly and efficiently.
• You have commercial flair and the necessary insight into how the hospitality industry works.
• You are familiar with the activities of STUK arts centre and STUKcafé.
• You can work as a student, non-student or flexi.
