In a near future, a lonely writer develops an unlikely relationship with an operating system designed to meet his every need.
Like no other, Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are, Being John Malkovic, Adaptation) can make an improbable starting point so acceptable that you have no choice but to believe it. In Her, the relation between Theodore and operating system Samantha is surprisingly authentic and natural. Wilfully funny and intensely moving, Her makes you muse about the meaning of intimacy, authentic love and loneliness (in the digital age). Jonze received a very deserved Oscar ànd Golden Globe for the screenplay, Scarlett Johansson was named Best Actress at the Rome Film Festival for her role of Samantha.
