Jazz op zondag Spring 2020 (cancelled)
Every Sunday (with just a handful of exceptions) a free jazz concert or dj set in STUKcafé!
To limit the spread of the corona virus, STUK cancels all planned performances, concerts and public events until May 31 2020.
12.1 • Dree Peremans invites
Dree Peremans (Rebirth::Collective, aNoo), teacher and former student at Lemmensinstituut, has the honour of kicking off our Jazz op zondag series in 2020. He invites a couple of guest musicians to the STUKcafé stage.

19.1 • Adrian Bifano/Olivier van Niekerk Quartet
Guitarists Adrian Bifano (Venezuela) and Olivier van Niekerk (Netherlands) met last year at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where they both study. Playing together gave them the idea of starting a double guitar quartet. They play their own compositions and reworks of jazz standards, in arrangements especially for their highly original lineup.

STUK invites the jazz department of LUCA School of Arts for a monthly jam in STUKcafé.
The Jazz department of LUCA – Campus Lemmensinstituut is a small and dynamic department of one of the four Flemish institutes for higher music education. The department was established in 1985 by a.o. Bert Joris and Free Desmyter, and has become a household name in the Belgian jazz scene. STUKcafé invites the students of LUCA Jazz on stage for a jam session, led by Dré Pallemaerts.

Smiles Davis (Davy Smets) has been a familiar STUK face for years, with a history at Radio Scorpio (Nightshop FM) and Jazz op zondag. Smiles Davis selects the finest jazz records!
9.2 • Tobias Volckaerts invites
Bill Evans tribute
This four-piece band, put together by Tobias Volckaert, brings you the rich and diverse repertoire of legendary pianist Bill Evans. Original compositions and pieces that have become synonymous with this jazz legend, famous and unknown gems are played in fresh interpretations.

All The Gin Joints creates a cosy jazzy atmosphere with cracking vinyl on the decks and a gin & tonic in hand. A mix of the best jazz records of the 50s and 60s, with room for a little good old swing.
