Cancelled: Leuven Jazz op zondag: John Ghost
To limit the spread of the corona virus, STUK cancels all planned performances, concerts and public events until April 19 2020. STUK follows the measures announced by the federal government.
John Ghost is an instrumental sextet based in Ghent (Belgium). In their music we can hear influences from jazz, contemporary classical music as well as rock and electronica. Above all, the group constantly seeks for new sounds and uses a cinematic language in their compositions while keeping the balance between moments of abstraction, repetition and sound-exploration. Intoxicating, dreamy soundscapes alternate continuously with rhythmic patterns. Improvisation is the common thread throughout large parts of composed music, smart harmonies and tight turns.
