Belgian-Swedish artist Oona Libens is fascinated by analogue projection techniques, shadow play and pre-cinematographic magic tricks. Sound plays an important role in her work as well. Her new peformance Spindle starts from the encounter between an omniscient spider - with her age-old weaving techniques - and artificial intelligence. Via the link between these two seemingly opposite technologies, Libens investigates the symbiosis between nature and digital progress. An ingenious and virtuoso audiovisual performance, with contemporary and aged projection techniques and sound design by Vica Pacheco and Jürgen De Blonde.
