roundABOUT #Indrė (4+)

Travel with Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė as she sings and plays the kanklės - a traditional Baltic string instrument - creating a musical refuge in the Roundabout arena.

She weaves ancient Lithuanian folk, jazz and contemporary sounds together into her own compositions, sings about distant fairy tales and old legends while dreamlike images of swans, deer, bees, wolves, fish, stars, trees and clouds pass by…

Choreographer Francesca Chiodi Latini sets out the route for this poetic experience where the music finds its extension in the visual setting created by video designer Nele Fack.

Expect a world of wonder, a multimedia journey for the audience to enjoy.

O what a horse, O what a horse,
Oh, it’s a very fine horse indeed.
He filled his ears until the birds were all heard,
He scrolled his eyes until the stars were all learned.

(Lithuanian folk song by R. Uzgiris)

This performance is part of the 17th edition of Rode Hond, a festival for families organised by 30CC. During four days of the fall holiday, you can discover theatre, film, workshops, dance, musical, circus, expo, literature and lots more. You can find the full programme on the Rode Hond website.
