Bérengère Bodin en Ivan Fatjo / Theater Malpertuis - Like the full moon says
20.09.2025 — 05.10.2025
During their residency at STUK, choreographers and dancers Bérengère Bodin & Ivan Fatjo will continue working on their performance Like the full moon says (premiere January 2026).
"Like the full moon says, everything will come back."
- Teodor Currentzis
Like the full moon says is a celebration of life as a forty-something in a society focused on youthfulness.
Inspired by clowning, in dialogue with the audience and flirting with dance and theatre, Bérengère and Ivan question the norms of the young body. Using humour as their weapon, they explore feelings of grief and acceptance and rediscover their changing bodies.
Bérengère Bodin graduated from the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers (FR) in 2000 and joined the internationally renowned dance companies of Raimund Hoghe, Christoph Marthaler, Martin Zimmermann, etc. One of the most important artistic encounters in her career was undoubtedly that with Alain Platel, with whom Bérengère continues to collaborate to this day.
In addition to her work as a performer, she enjoys mixing genres (theatre, dance and music) in her own creations and collaborates with other artists to this end.
Ivan Fatjo studied at the art academy in Costa Rica and then at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers (FR), where he also met Bérengère. Since 2007, he has been working closely with Josef Nadj. He has also performed in works by Hans Van Den Broeck, Nathalie Béasse, Harold Henning and others, and as a choreographer he has collaborated with various artists such as Pascal Merighi, Estelle Delcambre, etc.
