A message from the Flemish cultural institutions
Together with the Flemish cultural institutions, STUK calls on the Belgian government to take stronger action against the grave human rights violations committed by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank.
Met deze boodschap op de gevels van Vlaamse cultuurhuizen roepen we de Belgische regering op tot een daadkrachtiger beleid tegen de flagrante mensenrechtenschendingen door Israël in Gaza en op de Westelijke Jordaanoever.
Daarnaast mobiliseren we de komende dagen actief om op 15 juni mee te stappen in de protestactie georganiseerd door 11.11.11. We vragen de Belgische regering om werk te maken van een staakt-het-vuren, het respecteren van de mensenrechten en de bescherming van mensenrechtenorganisaties.
By displaying this message on the façades of Flemish cultural centres, we are calling on the Belgian government to adopt a more decisive policy against Israel's flagrant human rights violations in Gaza and the West Bank.
In the coming days, we will also be actively mobilising to join the protest organised by 11.11.11 on 15 June. We are asking the Belgian government to work towards a ceasefire and to ensure respect for and protection of human rights organisations.
