In a career that started 20 years ago, Scottish singer and guitarist Alasdair Roberts has put together an impressive and diverse discography: first as Appendix Out, later under his own name Alasdair Roberts, collaborating with other artists along te way. His work mainly consists of two strands: self-written song material and interpretations of traditional songs and ballads from Scotland and beyond. His most recent album, 2013's A wonder Working Stone (Drag City), consists of 11 temperate yet sophisticated ballads, combining Roberts' unique voice with soft fingerpicking. Timeless authenticity that guides the listener to the rich Scottish heritage.
Lyenn has been a regular guest at STUK, with his own project and as a member of Dans Dans. This fall, he returns with a solo set, trying out new material from an album that will be released early 2016.
