An Enchanted Process

Léone Drapeaud is a French architect and artist known for her poetic and experimental approach to architecture. She is co-founder of the collective Traumnovelle, a practice that combines architecture, art and activism. Drapeaud's work, infused with a strong feminist perspective, uses architecture as a means to question social structures and explore alternative future scenarios. She combines a poetic spatial approach with a deep-rooted curiosity. This results in projects such as Wunderkamer and The Joyful Apocalypse that are both enchanting and critical, and have a strong affinity for temporality and change.

Drapeaud and Traumnovelle approach architecture as a transformative process in which the imagination is activated and users are invited to experience spaces in new, liberating ways.
