Ghent-based wanderer Benoit Monsieurs aka Venediktos Tempelboom brings melancholic guitar music in the tradition of American folk primitivists John Fahey and Robbie Basho. With his twelve-string guitar, you might mistake Temelboom for a medieval sound pilgrim looking for mystique and meditation. His recent album Het Vuil Volksken (Kraak, 2022à is an enchanting trip through imaginary belfries, Eastern places and Flemish fields.
