With Kabinet K, the dance company of Joke Laureyns and Kwint Manshoven, play always has a particularly special place; this time round it has the leading role. as long as we are playing is like a playground in which the infectiousness of the game forms the starting point for every movement and interpretation. Does play offer us ultimate freedom, or does it rather impose certain rules on us? Games are a place of pleasure and harmony, but also of con ict and power. Moreover, the way in which people play reflects how they live together with others. For as long as we are playing, Manshoven and Laureyns collaborate with composer Thomas Smetryns for the first time. The scenography is by visual artist Amy Franceschini. While, both on stage and with instruments, the children steal the show.
