• Lazzaro
Under the name Lazzaro, Geraldine Vanspauwen hovers between poetry, raw noise and experimental folk. She weaves intuitive songwriting with dreamy sound explorations into a dense web of sound, guided by a love of intimate tape recordings, looping techniques, ethereal voices and detuned textures. Live, Lazzaro combines guitars and organs with voice and electronics. She also performs with the bands Zemlya and Sergeant, and hosts a monthly radio show on Kiosk Radio. Her first self-recorded EP, The Inner Land is Wide and Free, was released in 2022 on the Bomambi label. Lazzaro is currently working on new material, of which she will give a sneak peek at STUK.

(trio)
Clarissa Connelly was born in Scotland but moved to Copenhagen as a child. That she is deeply rooted in both Celtic and Norwegian culture should come as no surprise. From Scandinavian landscapes to pre-Christian shrines to musical folklore, all of that influenced Connelly's mystical music and metaphysical lyrics. Her third and most recent album World of Work (2024), released on the renowned label Warp, reads like a cosmic journey through the human soul. Hildegard von Bingen's mystical chants are never far away, but there are also nods to Georges Bataille's philosophy and William Blake's symbolic poems. Bells ring in the distance, while Connelly, with her phenomenal voice, works her way through complex piano harmonies and experimental compositions. Hildegard: move out of the way!
