Dances of Death
Between 20 and 26 September, the UCI World Road Cycling Championships take place in Flanders. The five road races finish in Leuven, on 23 - 26 September.
Access to the centre of Leuven, including STUK, will be limited during that period. The city advises to avoid the car and come by foot, bike or public transport.

Together with seven dancers and one singer Michiel Vandevelde explores how a dance of death would be danced today. The performers travel through history and different associations to dances of death. They dance, they breathe, they cry, they laugh, they sing. In a cycle between life and death, Vandevelde exposes the consoling and powerful potential of physical exhaustion. The dance material is based on three short 16mm videos that choreographer Michiel Vandevelde inherited from his mother with influences from social, folkloristic, and modern dances. A strong spiritual trip.
