Tumbleweed
Dehors est blanc
Stillness is but an appearance. For this new creation, the artist duo Tumbleweed presents a choreographic installation in suspension: an original way to continue their explorations of the loss of points of reference, and the notion of territory.
Suspended above an upturned light, three dancers gradually move out into the void. They bear witness to the impermanence of things, and drift together in pursuit of an elsewhere that constantly merges and fades.
Dehors est blanc is a reference to the term ‘whiteout’, an optical atmospheric phenomenon in which everything seems enveloped in a white glow. Observers can discern neither shadows nor the horizon, causing a loss of sense of depth and orientation.
