Duet for two string trios is a collaboration between choreographer Claire Croizé and the Goeyvaerts String Trio, based on two string trios by the contemporary classical composer Charles Wuorinen. A sensory fusion of dance and music, lyrical and intimate but at the same time intense and disruptive, like the times in which we are living. Wuorinen’s music, influenced by Stravinsky and related to Schoenberg, takes us to a world that refuses to be pigeonholed. This world, complex and confusing as it may be, makes it possible for dance to exist.
