Cancelled: Leuven Jazz op zondag: Emil De Waal + Spejderrobot feat. Band Ane
To limit the spread of the corona virus, STUK cancels all planned performances, concerts and public events until April 19 2020. STUK follows the measures announced by the federal government.
In 2020, drummer Emil de Waal+ and electronic musician Spejderrobot celebrate their 12½-year anniversary as musical playmates. They mark the copper wedding anniversary with an album release – the third from the duo.
3 is out on vinyl and digital download as of January 17th, 2020 and has been in the making for the past two years – after a seven-year break from recording. It synthesizes the duo's experiences from more than 500 concerts all over the world. The album is a fusion of playfulness, restless energy and sudden explosions.
It presents a meeting between electronic music with experimental notes and acoustic, improvised music. An eclectic album in every sense of the word, with elements of dub, funk, kraut, jazz, pop, electronica, cinematic scapes and disco beats – music that invites the listener to both listen carefully, and dance like crazy!
They will be joined on stage by Band Ane (Ane Østergaard), Danish composer and performer of electronic music.
