A Dutch-speaking guided takes you on a trip through the world of silent underground rooms in Uzbekistan.
In her first exhibition in Belgium, artist and filmmaker Saodat Ismailova shows you a special place: Chillahona. These are ancient underground spaces in the city of Tashkent (in Uzbekistan), where people go to be quiet and reflect.
In her film Zukhra, you hear what people feel when they meditate there. In the film Celestial Circle, you drift off to the soft sounds of voices, birds and wind.
Saodat's films are beautiful to watch and listen to. They tell stories from the past and present, and introduce you to the life and culture of people in Central Asia.
