Jazz op zondag: One Frame Movement

A distinctive alliance of keys, double bass, and drums, One Frame Movement excels in driving and vividly colored compositions. The contemporary jazz trio radiates warm-blooded musical joy, drawing inspiration from electronic textures, classical music, indie, and other unexpected places. Lush melodic themes are paired with jagged, rhythmic soundscapes, which the band pulls apart live through improvisation and moments of disruption.

Beyond their concert performances, the trio has composed live soundtracks for silent films and music for contemporary dance. In a short time, the band released two warmly received EPs - One Frame Movement and BRUSQUE (Live at Flagey & BJA) - and was featured by Lefto on his musical map Lefto Presents Jazz Cats 2. In 2026, their new release Rakelings will be released.
