Jazz op zondag x Leuven Jazz: Donder
Donder closes Leuven Jazz with their new album De Wonderen, an exercise in composition without limitations or pre-defined concept
The Belgian jazz trio Donder – featuring pianist Harrison Steingueldoir, drummer Casper Van De Velde, and bassist Stan Callewaert – brings their unique sound to STUKcafé. On the closing night of Leuven Jazz, they will present their latest album, De Wonderen, released on November 22 via W.E.R.F. Records.
Donder is known for their unconventional and exploratory approach to jazz. Each album begins with a fresh vision, with the trio consistently venturing into new musical territories. Unlike their previous album, Het Verdriet, which emerged as a research project into Flemish (folk) music, De Wonderen was created with the goal of composing new material free from constraints or predefined concepts.
This concert is part of Leuven Jazz 2025 and is organized in collaboration with Jazz op zondag at STUK.
