Kind follows the choices, doubts and physical changes of a growing child. Through preparatory research with and by young people from various back- grounds – privileged, disadvantaged, and orphaned – the choreographers explored several key aspects of their protagonist: his body language, his urge to play, and his quest for truth. How do children organise their world, through role-play or imitation, in order to grasp certain situations? How do they respond in traumatic situations or express their fears when adults aren’t around? Following Vader (Franck Chartier, 2014) and Moeder (Gabriela Carrizo, 2016), Peeping Tom now completes this acclaimed family trilogy with Kind. The cast journey from early childhood to erratic adolescence and adulthood. Locals of all generations play a part as extras in Kind.
For this performance, Peeping Tom is looking for a girl of max. 125cm height and a man and woman of 65 or older, ideally with a small dog.
