• DIDA
(live)

Dida is the alter ego of composer and DJ Dennis Vanderauwera. His never-ending flirt with the silly and funny give a unique character to his electronic compositions. Dida seamlessly blends genius with childishness, seeming amateurism with compositional complexity and bombastic grandeur reminiscent of classical music. J.S. Bach is ever near, just like tripe fairs, cheap MIDI-based waiting music and James Ferraro's postmodern universe. His latest EP Waes Hael! comprises seven crazy Christmas songs that jingle and jangle into utter auditory madness. Light for the ears, demanding for the brain, hinting at Flemish culture as well as night club.

• LOVERMAN
(live)

Loverman is the alter ego of Wijgmaal-born musician and singer James De Graef. In recent years he has made a name for himself with wicked space rock band Shht and the experimental pop duo Partners (together with Daisy Darkpark). All that time, he also wrote songs with nothing but an old acoustic guitar, resulting in pure love songs, recorded with little means somewhere on a roof. The influence of modern troubadours such as Brel, Walker and Cohen is clearly there, but Loverman also cites crackling electronica like Burial, his British-Belgian identity and the tv show The Singing Detective. Expect a theatrical live show from a pure performer, with a special place for silence and the unexpected. But most of all: expect a formidable deep and raw voice that grates and grips.

• VICTOR DE ROO
(live)

Musician and former DJ Victor De Roo is deeply rooted in the Brussels scene. His versatile oeuvre ranges from Dutch new wave with De Nooit Moede (R.I.P.) to electro-acoustic solo work and diverse collaborations with poet Alex Deforce, Dutch pop artist Meetsysteem or singer Rachel Sassi. Next to his own 'sort of label' Kontakt Group, De Roo releases on Stroom and Knekelhuis, among others. Last year he and visual artist Lewi Moors created an audiovisual 360° film for the KNAL! festival dome, now he will play a solo set in Manhattan.

• DAISY DARKPARK B2B CRAT
(dj)

Closing the night in true family gathering style, Loverman invites his 'partner' Daisy Darkpark, who will share the decks with MONTAGE label boss crat. If you want to see Daisy at work live, join us on September 29 for the Studio STUK Opening Night aka Tien Om Te Zien.
