Poltrock & De Roover - VACUUM

David Poltrock and Adriaan De Roover are both established names in the alternative Belgian music scene. Poltrock plays with groups like Razen and De Mens, among others, and is also a composer of film music, ambient and post-classical music. De Roover, on the other hand, became known with his alter ego Oaktree and in 2019 created the beautiful album Leaves. With VACUUM, the two composers join forces for a multidisciplinary performance that goes beyond a classical concert experience. Directed by Aïda Gabriels, Poltrock and De Roover's electroacoustic soundscapes enter into dialogue with dance, light and video. The audience will be immersed in monumental soundscapes that sound through speakers in every corner of the hall, images by videographer Wim Piquer, light by designer Jan Van Lindt and the physical moving language of dancer Pieter Desmet. The result is a sensory field of tension where the sense of spatiality and focus is lost. A universe without a point of reference, a 'vacuum' that will absorb you.
