Slow Walk Leuven
An invitation to slow down both body and mind and experience the city from a new perspective through the most elementary form of movement.
On Saturday 22 February, a Slow Walk will start at exactly 12 pm from four different corners of the city, towards the Ladeuzeplein. A 1.2 km route, covered in four hours, i.e. at 300m per hour. Walking at an extremely slow pace is a remarkable experience; exceptional, yet accessible to all. The Slow Walk opposes the hectic, high rhythm of a city and our pace of life. It is an invitation to slow down body and mind and to experience the city from a new perspective, through the most elementary form of movement imaginable: walking.
Between 12 pm and 4 pm, you can participate in the Slow Walk for as short or as long as you like. Via the project's website, you can follow where the groups are in real time and step in and out. At 4 pm, the walk will turn into a mini-workshop with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker under the motto ‘my walking is my dancing’ and a short dance party on the Ladeuzeplein.
An invitation to all Leuven residents!
