The Awkward Art of Talking
Open, slow-paced conversation night - open to everyone.
We live in an age where everything moves fast, faster than our thoughts, faster than our ability to truly connect. In the pursuit of productivity, efficiency, and constant updates, the first thing we often sacrifice is genuine human connection. Conversations become brief, functional, and filtered. We scroll more than we speak, react more than we reflect. In avoiding discomfort, we also begin to avoid feeling deeply; yet, can it be called a heart if it doesn’t know the ache of breaking?
Awkward Art of Talking is a community-building event designed to slow things down. It creates a space where talking is not rushed, and listening is just as important as speaking. Through guided topics, you’ll be invited to share, reflect, and engage with people you might not otherwise meet.
You can expect thoughtful conversations in small groups of 2–3 strangers, guided by shared topics explored for 20–40 minutes at a time. Along the way, there will be moments of silence, unexpected perspectives, and a chance to step outside your usual social patterns.
Come as you are. Bring your most effortless, unpolished self, and a willingness to be present.
