The Round

Feel the untamed energy of youthful bodies moving closely together.

Let yourself be carried away by the untamed energy of The Round, an enchanting performance created and danced by eight children aged nine to thirteen. The Round is about group spirit and the joy of dancing, but also highlights personal stories and the beauty of physical and cultural differences. Through self-invented games and rituals, the young dancers create quirky processions, parades, and marches. The audience is seated close to the dancers, on a circular tribune by set designer Jozef Wouters. A breathtaking experience!

In 2014, choreographer Claire Croizé created the performance Primitive with professional dancers for an adult audience. The Round is a reworking of this production with and for children.
