The TV Mantelpiece, 2016

The work of Laure Prouvost balances at the intersection between reality and fiction. By using various media (textiles, ceramics, media equipment), she transforms stories – such as one based on the lives of her own grandparents, for example – into scintillating viewing experiences. During Playground, we are presenting the installation The TV Mantelpiece, a hybrid installation that comprises a video, woven carpets, and ceramics.
