Wiegedood is the Belgian pride of black metal. The trio - Levy Seynaeve (vocals, guitar), Wim Coppers (drums) and Gilles Demolder (guitar) - is internationally known for their brutal music and solid live reputation. In STUK, they play a new soundtrack to the enigmatic Japanese silent film A Page of Madness (1926) by Teinosuke Kinugasa, a long-lost masterpiece set in a mental institution. Expect electro-acoustic soundscapes, ferocious outbursts and snippets of existing Wiegedood songs ingeniously incorporated here and there. A unique film concert for fans of the heavier genre, but also for fans of experimental music and art house film.
