Unfortunately, William Basinski has to cancel his fall European tour due for health reasons. Both shows for KNAL! festival on Saturday 27 November are cancelled, all ticket holders will be refunded.

Electronics grandmaster William Basinski returns to the origins of life, accompanied by live lasers from artist duo Domnitch & Gelfand.
American ambient composer William Basinski is a living legend: his 2002 work The Disintegration Loops is considered a milestone in recent avant-garde music. Last year he also released the fragile album Lamentations. Together with Russian artist duo Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand, Basinski created an immersive performance with laser light and sound, specially designed for domes. By using colored lasers to scan the surface of swelling and shrinking soap bubbles, the molecular phenomena of these bubbles are greatly magnified on the surface of the dome. The behavior of bubbles, viewed so closely, evokes the dynamics of living cells, the basic component of all organisms. In this way Basinski, Domnitch and Gelfand provide a poetic insight into the early origins of life in our universe.
