ECCE / Claire Croizé & Etienne Guilloteau ism Ictus - Béla
23.09.2025 — 26.09.2025
Together with the renowned music ensemble Ictus, choreographers Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau (ECCE) are working on an ambitious new performance for four dancers and four musicians. The performance combines contemporary dance, classical music, and adventurous electronics that push the boundaries of sound art.
Béla Bartók's Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion—an explosive work full of complex accents and rhythms—is the driving force behind a lively, virtuoso choreography. It is music that sparkles with life and inspires the body to move. The performance embraces the profound physical and emotional impact of music on the body and immerses us in polyrhythms to bring out an unprecedented intensity in the dance movements.
The world premiere is scheduled for February 6, 2026, at the Concertgebouw Brugge. The performance will then be presented in Brussels by Bozar and in the Stadsschouwburg in Leuven by Stuk in collaboration with 30CC.
