In HIKER, the boundaries between body, landscape and hiking gear become blurred. The entire world of the performance (scenography, lighting, sound, fictions, unexpected images, shapes and volumes) emerges from a figure laden with hiking gear (Bavo Buys)."

Since 2018, Bosse Provoost and Ezra Veldhuis have been exploring the borderland between theatre, performance and installation art. Their work is imbued with a fascination for light, space and scenography.

Through compositions of light shifts, sound patches and silences, they create ever-changing spaces populated by semi-human-looking figures. Theatre spaces are transformed into “environments” in which metatheatrical and ecosystemic logic diverge.

Not only is poetry at the heart of most of their work (Celan, Christensen, Brautigan...), the performances are also constructed according to poetic principles and can be read as scenic poems.
