tout petit investigates how costumes change the body, in a collaboration with Alfredo Zinola
Franje is a new creation by tout petit in collaboration with dancer and creator Alfredo Zinola. This performance explores how costumes transform bodies and create new movement languages. Using grand, impressive costumes as a starting point, we explore how these designs challenge, bend and give the body a character of its own. During our residency at STUK, we will dive further into this physical play and look for surprising interactions between body, space and material. Fringe promises to be a unique visual and dance experience that focuses on transformation and playfulness.

tout petit is a production company from Leuven and Hasselt that has been creating dance productions for young audiences since 2012. tout petit is unique in Flanders and has a special role in Europe. The company makes the fundamental choice to create dance for a young audience whereby artistic boundaries are pushed back. tout petit puts the dialogue between scenography, dance and music at the centre of its work.
The core team of Alfredo Zinola Productions are Alfredo Zinola as choreographer and Micaela Kühn Jara as producer and mediator. They have been working together since 2015 on the basis of our shared interest in dance for young audiences. Together they create projects and other formats, often in collaboration with other artists in co-authorship. The group is based in Cologne/Düsseldorf and Munich, and works in cooperation with tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf and Theater HochX in Munich. Their work is characterized by exploring the boundaries of formats, themes and ideas to shape what a dance performance for young audiences can be. Through their work they want to question the relationship between society and childhood.
