Isabella Daffara (b. 1994) is an Italian performer and emerging choreographer, based in Belgium since 2018. After studying literature in high school, she pursued dance studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from SEAD (2017, Salzburg) and a master’s degree from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp (2023).

Isabella has performed with Ula Sickle, Milla Koistinen, Chloe Bass, Jenneke Slaets, Humanhood, Revolver Dance Theater, Timothy Nouzak, and Elda Gallo.

As a creator, she directed the short dance film Neglected Places (2021) and choreographed the performance Metaphoricity: A Speech of Figures (2023). She is currently working on her latest project, TOWOIT. In her personal artistic practice, Isabella lately integrates the use of voice, text, and materials to expand and explore her own poetics of the body.

Alongside her artistic work, Isabella enjoys using her dance knowledge to teach and facilitate activities for social purposes, such as workshops with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Isabella is also involved in critical writing, regularly collaborating with Playwatch and Het TheaterFestival Redactie to review and reflect on performing arts throughout the year.
