Jago Moons

15.06.2026 — 21.06.2026

Jago Moons investigates the cutting edge between (classical) piano, live electronics and improvisation, following his studies at the Conservatory, his love for synthesizers and the Morning Tapes from 2022, a series of 50 improvisations for his Klavins Una Corda piano. Within this research he planned a series of residencies at different cultural institutions in Belgium and abroad. Earlier this year and last year, he was a guest at VCCA in Virginia, Trix in Antwerp, WORM in Rotterdam and Het Bos in Antwerp.

Jago Moons (1988, Antwerp, BE), is a musician and composer. He composes and arranges music and soundscapes for film, documentary, theatre, music theatre, circus and in collaborations with visual artists. Moons likes to stray from the paths of his classical training, which translates in a love for synths, drum computers and soundscapes. He likes to explore the borders between genres and tries to let them fade in his music. Moons is a lecturer at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
