Lisa Vereertbrugghen - Again Forever

Over the past twelve years, Lisa Vereertbrugghen has researched the political and physical dimensions of (hardcore) techno and rave. With Again Forever, she links that research to a dance at the opposite end of the speed spectrum: the slow dance.

Again Forever approaches slow dancing as a potentially subversive practice – the slow counterpart to underground dances such as hardcore gabber. This research emphasises slow dancing's radical approach to intimacy and time in an era dominated by productivity, speed and isolation. Slowing down thus becomes a collective act of resistance, imbued with queer and anti-patriarchal potential.

This is the first residency in this project. The focus will be on movement research into the slow.
