Vacancy waiter
Working at STUKcafé - a job at the heart of Leuven culture.
STUK is an international arts house that cares for artists and audiences across generations, bringing them together and seeking an active relationship between the two. A House for Dance, Image and Sound in which experience, encounter and dialogue are central. STUK brings a multi-layered, international programme with a focus on established values, new voices and experimentation. Diversity and inclusion, sustainability, fair practice and fair pay are shared values and goals in its operation. On the site you will find several performance spaces, a cinema room by ZED, artist studios for residency work, a participatory operation STEK and the cosy STUKcafé.
STUKcafé is the beating heart of the arts center: the place with a wide array of activities and events where people come together for culture, socializing, and experiencing. In addition to its daily operations, the café organizes its own program full of parties, free concerts, and festivals, complemented by fresh bottom-up initiatives. Think of energetic club nights, atmospheric Jazz on Sunday concerts, sing-along fun at Allez Chantez, and dance nights featuring salsa, lindy hop, and tango. Furthermore, the hospitality team is responsible for venue rentals, including receptions, conferences, and (wedding) parties. No day is the same, and the audience is as diverse as the offerings. STUKcafé is alive – and you can be right in the middle of it. Finally, the menu revolves around local, healthy, and vegetarian products. The daily fresh vegetarian buffet is a real draw for visitors and groups looking to enjoy a cozy lunch together.
