Antwerp-based Abel Ghekiere was many a music lover's main discovery during the covid period. Their debut album Voor het verdwijnt, en daarna was released in 2021 by Rotkat Records. The music combines jazz, filmic ambient, folky touches and field recordings, like snippets of conversations or nature. The story they tell is one of sadness and consolation. Touching in album form as well as live. Abel Ghekiere is joined live by Tobias Volckaert (saxophone), Ana van Liedekerke (cello), Maarten Joostens (guitar) and Orlan Ghekiere (drums).

A concert of Gus Fairbarn a.k.a. Alabaster DePlume is an unforgettable experience. As a contemporary messias he brings a message of connection and philanthropy in a world that becomes ever more tough. His absurdist and humorous spoken word goes hand in hand with delightful saxophone melodies. He is joined for every concert by a different musical friend from London or Manchester. The results are adventurous jam sessions based on superb songs like Don’t Forget You’re Precious and Be Nice To People. The Guardian couldn't be more spot on : “A reminder of how vital and adventurous music can be.” After his concert during Artefact Sound 2019 we are happy to welcome him back to Leuven for the first time.
