Bach
With an indescribable expressive power, María Muñoz dances to Bach’s Das wohltemperierte Klavier
Part of EUROPALIA ESPAÑA
In Bach (2004), the Catalan dance company Mal Pelo tackles a selection of preludes and fugues from Johann Sebastian Bach's Das Wohltemperierte Klavier. The composer has become an important influence, if not the soul, of Mal Pelo's creations. Bach gives the impression that the interpreter María Muñoz captures the composer’s shocks and emotional flights. With her liveliness and apparent freedom, she does not interpret the music, she becomes the music. The dance company Mal Pelo was previously in Leuven with their performances Sur (1992), Duet (Klapstuk 1993) and Dol (Klapstuk 1995). A reunion to look forward to.
This performance is part of the EUROPALIA ESPAÑA evening and can be combined with the performance 8 Km en Mula.
